Following the sale of SOHO and before the acquisition of SOHO II, I took the opportunity to broaden my command experience by joining the well-known jet-drive charter yacht Veni Vidi Vici on a temporary basis at the start of the 2022 season.

I joined during the final stages of a refit period in Palma, where I was responsible for closing out outstanding works before repositioning the yacht to her home port in the South of France. From there, we prepared for a busy charter schedule while also conducting early-season owner trips.

Operating with a crew of six, we cruised extensively throughout the South of France while simultaneously managing final refit works and a challenging management restructure. The role required strong organisation, adaptability and clear communication to maintain guest standards while significant operational changes were taking place behind the scenes.

The position also gave me valuable hands-on experience commanding a high-performance waterjet yacht and broadened my technical and operational experience across a very different style of vessel and programme.
